Hey there!
You’re reading The Human x Tech, where sharp ideas on AI, emerging tech, power skills, and future-proof careers meet. It’s built for people who want to move faster, think smarter, and stay human in a world run by tech.
Let’s dive in.
✨ Quick Take
Remember the famous saying “What got you here, won’t get you there”?
Well, we’re living it in real time.
The skills that built your career over the last decade, they won’t carry you through the next one.
By 2030, nearly 40% of today’s skills will be obsolete.
Not stolen by robots or AI agents, but rewired by redesign.
The real career advantage isn’t asking: “Will AI take my job?”
It’s asking:
Which part of my work will AI take? and what does that free me to become?
💡 What’s Changing
Over the last few months, the career questions I’m getting from professionals and keynote audiences have completely shifted.
The career frustrations are real. It went from:
“How do I get into Big Tech?”
“How do I transition to Product management?”
“How do I climb the ladder?”
To this:
"I've been building my portfolio for years. Does it even matter anymore?”
"My friend got laid off and replaced by AI. Should I panic?"
"Everyone says 'upskill' but upskill into what exactly?"
"Should I still become a developer if AI can code?"
"What weekend projects actually matter now? I spend them learning prompt engineering. Is it the right move?"
What I'm hearing underneath all these questions: The playbook broke.
Nobody knows what "good career advice" looks like anymore. The strategies that worked in 2022 feel useless in 2024. Everyone's scrambling to figure out the new rules while the game is still changing.
Here’s what the data shows:
The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs 2025 surveyed 1,000 companies across 55 countries and 22 industries (more than 14 million workers). Three clear patterns emerged:
As machines are getting sharper, these skills are rising fastest:
AI & data fluency
Technological literacy
Cybersecurity awareness
Human must get deeper. These skills are becoming critical:
Creative thinking
Resilience, flexibility and agility
Curiosity and lifelong learning
Leadership and social influence
Tasks in the middle get squeezed out. What’s losing ground:
Repetitive manual tasks
Basic data entry and processing
Narrow reading/writing/math basics
The pattern is clear: Tech will keep evolving. The skills that endure are the ones that can’t be automated away.
One line to remember: AI raises the floor. Human judgment raises the ceiling.
🤔 Make it practical
“Human skills” or “Soft skills” often sound vague and fluffy.
Let’s make each of them a personal experiment, think of each as reps at the gym:
Creative Thinking: Pressure makes diamonds.
→ Exercise: Run a constraint drill - Solve a problem with half the budget or half the time. Force yourself to get creative.
Resilience & Agility: Don’t just plan one path.
→ Exercise: For every solution you propose, plan a back-up, a best case scenario + “what if this fails” scenario.
Curiosity & Lifelong Learning: Stay deliberately curious.
→ Exercise: Each month: Try 1 new tool + have 1 new conversation + write 1 short reflection on what you learned.
Leadership & Influence: Make your thinking visible.
→ Exercise: Narrate your decisions out loud:
Context → Options → Risks → Call. Practice being transparent about how you think.
Analytical Thinking: Question your assumptions.
→ Exercise: Run an “assumptions audit”: list 3 assumptions you’re making, find 1 counter-example for each.
📌 Future issues will go deeper into each skill, one edition per frontier. Make sure you subscribe to stay informed.

🚀 Run a Reset: 14-Day Career Sprint:
Here is a personal reset for you to test where AI fits best in your life and where you double-down on human skills. Two weeks to re-architect how you work/career:
Week 1: Map your Work Day
Day 1-2: List 10 recurring tasks. Mark: A = AI assist, H = Human-critical.
Day 3-4: Pilot one A task. Try an AI tool to help with it. Compare the results to your usual approach.
Day 5: Stress-test one H tasks: “What breaks if I delegate this to someone else?”
Day 6-7: Invest 90 mins learning: 45min on AI literacy, 45min on cybersecurity basics.
Week 2: Build your edge
Day 8-9: Practice the skills from earlier: Run a constraint sprint (creativity) + an assumptions audit (analytical).
Day 10: Reflect: what did AI actually free up for you? How did you use that extra time?
Day 11-12: Have one career conversation. Ask one question: “Which skill should I double down on?”
Day 13: Re-check your H list. Add guardrails: where must you absolutely stay in the loop?
Day 14: Write a one-page reflection: what you’ll automate moving forward, what you’ll kept human, what you learned and what surprised you.
⚠️The founders and professionals I’ve walked through this? They come out with clarity and confidence about where to invest their energy.
🧭 What’s Next
This is just the start. In the next few editions, we’ll break down each frontier skill:
Creative thinking under pressure,
Resilience when rules keep changing, curiosity,
Leadership when your team includes AI,
Cultural intelligence in a global, digital world
… and show you drills to build them intentionally.
Because ”AI what you can” will keep accelerating. But ”Human what you must” is how you’ll stay ahead and irreplaceable.
📣 Question for You
Which skill do you believe will matter most in your role by 2030? and how are you building it today?
Reply to this email or drop a note in the comments. I’d love to feature some of your answers/story (with your permission) in a future edition.
Here’s what I’m curious about: Sometimes we're protecting skills that should be automated. Sometimes we're sitting on superpowers we don't even realize we have. Which camp are you?

There are two things to aim at in life: first, to get what you want and, after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieve the second”
